I have no Memorial Day weekend plans.  I have to work on saturday.  This year I actually would have liked to go to DEMF.  It seems like everyone is going!!  As long as the weather is nice, I’ll be content to stay here.  I’m grateful to have a job to go to so I won’t complain. :)

Nanny Kiki

Joia’s dad is out of town and Jessica has to work so I will be picking her up from school and then hanging out with her for six hours.  Babysitting young babies is a breeze but 6 year olds are very active.  I see a lot of Hannah Montana, Scooby Doo (that’s her fave) and art projects on my agenda for the day.  She’s a cool kid so it will be fun. :)

Scorcher Kiki

Dang it was hot yesterday.  Love it!  The midwest is so funny in that aspect.  It was 50 last week and now all of a sudden its 90.  I spent my sunday in the park with Jessica and Joia.  Good times.

Lost series finale was yesterday.  I wasn’t as pissed as everyone else seemed to be.  I liked it.  I’m a sucker for happy endings.  I don’t really care about the unanswered questions.  My life will continue just fine. ;)

I also worked my first Smallbar big football game shift this weekend.  It was the Champions League final and it was insane.  Crazy busy, a lot of drinking.  I remember I looked at the clock and it was 1230 and then when I looked again it was 445.  I didn’t even know who won.  LOL.  (Inter Milan did if you didn’t already know)  World Cup there is definitely going to be interesting.  :)

I had a pretty awesome weekend actually.  I worked my first shift at Smallbar and that went pretty well.  I’m still not a beer expert but I’m learning slowly. ;)   Mike (4/4) was in town so we went out for drinks.  I love it when he comes to town cuz I always end up going to places that I’ve never been to before, which is great cuz as much as I love my regulars, it’s always nice to frequent new establishments.  We went to the Paramount Room and Bluebird and I will definitely visit them again.

We are finishing the work at the temp job faster than they expected, so instead of 5 weeks it’s only a week and a half of work.  I’m not too bummed about it.  My unemployment got renewed and I’ll be ok until World Cup starts.
