Seriously so happy that there’s only 7 more days of this semester left.  It’s been the hardest, most depressing, most stressful 4 months ever…. dramatic much?   Yes, but I don’t care.  ;)   I’ll be celebrating my freedom next week after finals with the rest of my dnb peeps at Plan B.  Expect to see me wilding out since I’ll have the next month off of school.  Woot.

Been listening to some good hip hop mixes lately a la Dj Scend.  Check them out if you are so inclined.

I turned in my final paper for one of my classes on tuesday and I just have a final in my other class next week and my first semester of grad school will officially be over.  Holla. :)

I’m getting excited to mix at the Klute show next week.  I totally need a good dnb show to blow off the overworked semester steam.

My 3 days off has come to an end.  It was quite enjoyable.  I got to watch some football with my friends today.  It was nice to be watching it and not working it.  Gutted about Ghana. :(

Operation Job Search is in serious effect.  I’m trying my hardest to find any job so I won’t have to leave in may.  I applied for jobs yesterday that I would never dream of doing but whatever right?  Madison’s atmosphere really depresses me so I’d rather be at a job that depressed me for a little bit than being in a city that did.

You should listen to that Asides Eastsides Bassdrive Session that I posted yesterday if you haven’t already.  Really good stuff.

I seem to be bored a lot lately.  It’s understandable as I really don’t have anything to do ever but usually I seem to find stuff to occupy my time.  I guess now I’m just waiting for my trip to New Jersey for my nephew’s christening in two weeks.  Lately I can’t seem to wait to get out of Chicago.  I’m sure that feeling will go away once summer starts and there’s a bajillion things to do.  Fingers crossed.

It’s cold.  I’ve been fighting it but I actually had to bust out the peacoat.  Boo.  The thing I hate most about it not being summer is socks.  Yes you heard correctly.  I hate wearing socks.  They annoy the crap out of me.  LOL.

I’ve been slacking on the tunes department lately.  It’s not that I don’t have tunes to talk about, it’s more that I don’t have samples of the newest ones I like  to share with you. :(   It’s bad enough that you listen to me babble but who wants to hear me talk about tunes that you can’t hear yourself?  LOL.

I frequently think about how strange it is that I rave out to dnb at 5 a.m.

This morning’s gym selections were Stunna & Submorphics’ WMC mix (sorry I don’t have a link for this one) and Alegria’s Influenza mix.  I worked out to Alegria but listened to S & S in my car on the drive there.  I actually stayed in my car after I parked to listen to S & S because the mix was almost over and I wanted to hear the end, even though I’ve listened to it numerous times before.  It’s just a really good mix and I was totally in the zone.  I totally got that feeling after you would get home from a rave and it would be ass crack o clock.

I think one of my fondest memories is after one of the times I saw Andy C.  It was back in ’99.  The rave was called Mental and it was at the Roy Wilkins in St. Paul, MN.  I left the auditorium at 8 a.m. was pretty much deaf cuz the sound was insane and couldn’t have been more content to go to bed yet I was definitely on cloud nine from all the good music I had heard that night.  I’m feeling a little nostalgic this morning I guess.  ;)

Might as well have another Andy C oldie right?  He’s coming to Smart Bar on the 17th.  Stunna is playing so I’ll prolly go.  To be honest though I’m more a fan of Andy C of yesteryear not necessarily of the Andy C of today. *shrugs*  This oldie is another of my faves for sure.  It was the track that I played the most on this Ram Raiders Part 3 release.  I’ve said it before, I really like the tracks that Andy C and Shimon make together.  :)
