Always gotta support my homies.  

The other day, I was thinking about when I first heard jungle/dnb, back in ’94.  It was courtesy of my younger sister, who was still living at home in London, while I was in America.  I came back to America after summer holidays, trying my damndest to get a hold of all the Kool FM recordings possible.  I was fortunate that my cousins used to send me tapes every once in a while, but it was really due to the different crews and djs that I met along the way, that I was able to stay up to date with the latest tunes, before I started djing and getting them for myself.  So I always show love to my peeps whenever I can.

Holz are dope.

Just got back from holiday.  Had such a lovely time.  Saw the fam in London, and also went to Ibiza for my cousin’s 40th.

Ibiza was fab.  23 of us getting our proper holiday on.  The Whatsapp group chat for Ibiza is still lit, cuz everyone wants to keep the vibe going.  😂

Itchy Feet Kiki

As an ESL instructor, explaining idioms is always a challenge.  I’ve taught units on idioms before, and the “itchy feet” one always gets loads of scrunched up faces.  😂  Anyway, I’m going on hols in two weeks, and I’m pretty pumped to get my travel on.  I’m due for an adventure. 😝

So gutted over this.  

I’ve written a bunch of different entries, and then erased them. Marcus Intalex had a massive influence on my love of DnB.  I don’t think I can put into words how sad this makes me.  I’m just gonna keep listening to all the tribute mixes, and read the lovely words that his nearest and dearest keep writing about him.
