Coasting Along Kiki

Been in LA for seven years and adjusting to LA’s version of the seasons changing still takes some getting used to. The temp has finally dropped and I’m happy to be getting out the jumpers, long sleeves and hoodies. Cozy is my middle name.

I’ve got a lot of work on, but lowkey that’s a spot I enjoy being in. It allows me to just pop in my headphones, zone out, and do my work with no interruptions and listen to whatever I want.

This week I’ve been catching up on The Amen, Brother! Podcast. Love having it on in the background. It’s nice to be able to watch them on YouTube and pretend you’re in the room with them.

I’ve also had the Tyrone TNQ Rinse FM episode on repeat. What a great mix! So many go0d tunes: Mortlock’s Emma’s Dilemma, Alix Perez’s Bloomsbury, Workforce’s Falling Down to name a few. The whole tracklist is just 🔥. I’ve been vibing to it for the past two weeks straight. 🥰

Spending my Labor Day Weekend doing homework, what else is new? 🙃

I’m listening to Atlantic Connection. I’ve always been a huge Atlantic Connection fan. I don’t know if he was gone for a bit or I just wasn’t aware of tunes he’s been doing over the last couple of years… the latter is more likely. We know I am late as shit about finding out about new dnb tunes. 😂 Regardless, I’m always happy to listen to his stuff.

Versatility

DnB you are so versatile.  I zone out to you when I’m planning a bunch of lessons and,  I zone out to you when I know I have no intention of planning said lessons.  This morning it’s the latter.

Thanks Juju for the reminder, I am now in full-blown Atlantic Connection mode.

It’s gorgeous outside this a.m. and I’m only planning on listening to tunes from 2006 – 2007 today. 🙂

Toothache Kiki

Oh man.   The past couple of days have been quite rough.  I have an infected tooth.  I need to get it extracted.  I’ve been in an excruciating amount of pain since thursday.  The infection has caused some hearing loss which I’ve been dealing with since then too. 😦  I am so not a happy camper.  Things are a little bit better today cuz I actually went to the dentist and he gave me some antibiotics and we made an appointment to say sayonara to the tooth when the infection is gone.  TMI?  Probably.  LOL.  I guarantee you no one cares that much about my teeth. 😉
