Greg played at RESPECT yesterday. Great set as always. We were laughing because funnily enough I’ve probably seen him more than I’ve seen most of my friends, due to pandemic isolation of course. He’s been back to California a couple of times, and we saw each other when I was in London too. Always a pleasure.
It was nice to go hear some good dnb. I love the sound in Station 1640. It really makes going to go listen to dnb a delightful experience.
It’s the end of the semester. I’m doing grades, writing final exams, doing my own final assignments for school and still listening to Zero T because I’m so here for this Kilburn vibe. I guess The North Quarter has a show on Rinse FM now? π₯°
March just flew by! I’m happy to get a little reprieve these next couple of weeks. I’m on spring break from grad school and my evening school this week and will be on break from teaching at the community college next week. Gonna go hang with my homie Shannon in San Diego for a couple of days and just kick it.
This month has had me a bit all over the place mentally. Loads to sort out with my dad’s estate… still. Grief is such a strange process. I don’t remember thinking about him this much when he was alive. It’s been a year and some change, and even though I have learned to deal with the sadness a little better, I still think about him all day, every day. I wonder what the next stage of the grieving process will bring and when it will arrive. π
Anyway, I’m so happy I came across SirReal again. I used to listen to his mixes all the time. He always comes with the great track selection and beautiful blends. My students at the community college have exams today, so I’m just listening to his 2021 year end mix and finishing up writing the test.
