Doing a UKG post today.

I really do listen to all sorts of music, but for the majority of my life, DnB and UKG have consistently made me the happiest.  

I love that there are still peeps out there keeping the UKG sound going and it brightens my days.  It totes makes my old ass want to go out and actually dance.  

In the meantime I thoroughly enjoy my solo dance parties, mixing in my mum’s basement.  I’ve got UKG oldies for days.  #oldgrannybasementdj

Nima, Doy and James, I’m still jelly that you went to that garage night a couple of months ago  without me.  You better go to one with me when I come to the LDN in June.  😜

No dice I guess, cuz I can’t get enough of this Bass Controlla.  

It gets so dark so early, and I wish it was sunny and warm again, so I guess I’ll recreate this past summer and let Drake hijack my music player once more.

I’m missing the Mexico sun.

In my old age, I’m totes ready for those days where I retreat to my “winter home” in some sunny paradise.

I don’t mind autumn, it’s actually my favourite season, but sometimes the grey skies creep up on you and will def have you in your feelings a little bit.  

Instead of being a mopey cow for no sensible reason, I’m mixing old tunes and feeling quite content.  What else is new?  I don’t own any new records.  LOL.  

I do actually listen to new stuff every once in a while.  I just happen to really, really, really enjoy my old records. 😍😍😍

This tune always makes me think of Dj Kali.  I loved our Code Blue & Kali tagteam duo liquid funk era.

I turned 40 and celebrated my bday in Puerto Vallarta with a bunch of my friends.  I had a brilliant time!  Def a wonderful way to start a new decade of my life.  

Holidays can be tiring af though, with all the traipsing around, gallivanting from here to there and the margaritas flowing, and I came home and passed the eff out.  

Now it’s 2:45 a.m. and I’m wide awake listening to Calculon and pretending to unpack.  Really I’m just lying in bed, hanging out with the internet.  ☺

This is really good.  Nice one S.P.Y.!  I  get worried when I see remixes of such epic classics. The Dj Zinc one is so iconic, I wouldn’t want anyone spoiling it.  I still can’t believe that track came out in 1996.  I’m such an old raver.  LOL.  But man S.P.Y.  killed this remix.  Love it.  😍😍😍

I’m totes reliving my teenage raver life.  I spend hours mixing records, I lay in my room and listen to dnb while reading suspense novels,  and zone out to mixes while doing house chores.

I listened to this mix while trimming the hedges, and mowing the lawn for what will hopefully be the last time this year… we’ll see.  

I def need to get a dnb show fix.  I was trying to go see the homie Submorphics last Friday, but had previous engagements, and couldn’t swing it.  Fingers crossed I can make it to one soon.
