I’ve been listening to this song a lot lately.  The tune is ok.  Not really my type.  But then it breaks down into this wicked jungle rave at the end and I’m obsessed.  It totally takes me back to my raving days of yore.  I think I keep reflecting back to that time cuz I’m so busy right now and I would long for those days where all I would do was brock out to some rowdy jump up and hug the speakers.  Fast forward to about 3:20 and everyone starts raving.  I have the actual mp3 and it’s a full on minute of lovely dnb rowdiness.  Love it. 🙂

Back to my homework. 😦

Well I had emergency dental surgery on saturday.  The pain became too unbearable.  Now I’m hopped up on meds and my face is swollen.  Def. not cute. 😦

I’ve come to the realization that I don’t have time to write in my blog.  It’s a sad realization but unfortunately true.  I’m not giving it up completely.  I just have to come to terms with the fact that I don’t have time to write the full entries that I used to be able to.  They’ll just have to be random posts here and there whenever I get a mo.  I know the end result of this ridiculously jam packed schedule that I have right now is exactly what I want and means alot to me but I still feel sad about having to scale back on these entries.  Boo.

Studying for midterms.  Grad school is good.  I’m still enjoying it but dang there really aren’t enough hours in the day.  I am stressed cuz I don’t ever have time for anything.  Sigh.  There’s a beautiful bright light at the end of this tunnel and so I will just keep trudging through. 🙂

Oh man.   The past couple of days have been quite rough.  I have an infected tooth.  I need to get it extracted.  I’ve been in an excruciating amount of pain since thursday.  The infection has caused some hearing loss which I’ve been dealing with since then too. 😦  I am so not a happy camper.  Things are a little bit better today cuz I actually went to the dentist and he gave me some antibiotics and we made an appointment to say sayonara to the tooth when the infection is gone.  TMI?  Probably.  LOL.  I guarantee you no one cares that much about my teeth. 😉

I’ve got a midterm coming up so I’ve been reading like crazy.  The bonus to that is that I’ve just had my headphones on listening to dnb nonstop and memorizing the textbook.  Loads of really good stuff out there.  It makes me excited to download new mixes.

I’m back.  LA was wicked.  The weather wasn’t the greatest but it was still ten thousand times better than the 30 degrees and snowing we’ve got here right now.  Boo.

George’s art show was amazing.  I was so happy for him.  He’s so talented.  It was also great to see Mollie.  I say it all the time, I have wonderful friends and I’m very grateful to have them in my life.

Stunna and Bachelors of Science killed it.  I’m really glad I got to go to the show.  Really good vibes.  Fun times.

These past couple of weeks have been a blur.  I’ve been studying non-stop and working like crazy.  I was in extra nerd mode because I was leaving for my trip and wanted to make sure that when I got back I wasn’t behind.  Sorry I’ve been neglecting you. 😦

I’m in LA right now.  Came to support my good friend George for his art opening and visit with one of my dearest and most treasured buddies Mollie.  They are both Minneapolis transplants and the best part is that some of my other Minneapolis besties came too, so it’s a fun group mini holiday.  I only wish the weather was a bit better.  It’s at least sunny though and that’s good.

I’m being very blogger like and  blogging from a trendy breakfast place with free wifi off of Sunset Blvd. 🙂

Tonight Stunna happens to also be here so I’m going to go see him and Bachelors of Science.  Woot.  If you are in LA you should totally come check it out.

I’ve caught up on so many mixes lately and there are some really wicked tracks floating around.  I know it was a while ago but dang that Seba NLDNB Podcast 2 is fire.  I love every track on there.  I also happen to love Seba so it’s a win/win situation.  I could go on and list all the mixes I’ve been listening to but I’ll spare you.  Just because I’m catching up on a month’s worth of mixes doesn’t mean you have to as well.

The Girl Who Avoided The Snow Storm

That was Lake Shore Drive.  Eek.

Sorry for the lack of posts last week.  The snow storm was quite strange.  All that snow was crazy!  I was ridiculously fortunate though.  The wind was so intense it was blowing into these huge drift piles.  I went to go brave the snow and dig my car out the next day and there wasn’t a drop of snow on my car.  LOL.  Seriously.  Spotless.  It had blown on to the other side of the street and the cars on the other side of the street were fucked.  Someone was on my side that day I guess.

I’ve been holed up at my place studying and working but I did make time to watch The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and was instantly hooked.  I watched  Stieg Larsson’s whole trilogy this weekend.  Noomi Rapace is fierce as Lisbeth Salander.  I hope the American version doesn’t suck.  Watch it if you have time.  Violent and a very graphic at times but still worth watching.  5 stars. 😉

I’ve been listening to a lot of Bassdrive at the gym these days.  I love that there is a radio station where I can just tune in and get my fix whenever I can’t find any mixes to download. ❤
