So the past couple days I’ve been in straight party mode.  That’s what summer is about I guess, right?  I’m the brokest person out there but I still manage to have my fun without actually having money to spend.  LOL.

Me and Daniela went to see Skream and 12th Planet on sunday at Green Dolphin and that party was awesome.  Rusko was still around from Lollapalooza so he and Skream tagteamed.  Really good time.

I had such a  fun time at the dubstep show that I’m gonna post a dubstep mix today instead of a dnb one. 🙂

Blackhawks Kiki

So the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup and I got pretty much no sleep last night.  I live on a busy main street and all I could hear were fireworks and people screaming all night.  Is it normal for people to let off fireworks all the time when something big happens or does that only happen in Chicago??  Anyways congrats to the Blackhawks.

World Cup time is finally here.  Starting tomorrow I will be a fixture at Smallbar Division for pretty much all the games.  If you’re in Chi, come watch a game or two and have a beer. 🙂

Still in the midst of working on grad school application stuff.  Nothing too exciting too report.

Back 2 School Kiki?

It’s funny that when you hit a slump it takes a while for you to realise that you’re there.  I’ve been back for almost a month now and it was just yesterday that I realised that I’m over it.  I’ve been enjoying my time back and try to avoid the whole unemployment problem but the situation is still the same and it needs to be fixed.  The jobs don’t seem to be coming.  The prospects seem promising and then they fall through.  I would love to go back to school but I was stressing about the whole getting into more student loan debt thing.  At this point I don’t know really know what my options are, I just know that I can’t keep doing what I have been doing…  This also may be just my winter blues and I might not feel the same way once the sun starts coming out to play.  I still have to at least make an attempt to fix the problem though cuz I hate being depressed.  It’s so not fun. :/

I’m very well aware that this is a techno track.  I was having a very techno day yesterday and didn’t really listen to much dnb.  This is my fave Rob Hood track.  I really like techno and I wish I was more familiar with the Chicago scene to frequent their events but it’s no biggie.  I don’t go out that much as it is so I can’t really say that I would go to the shows anyways.  LOL.  I still download the odd mix here and there and go to the odd event if Daniela reminds me and that seems enough for now.  This track is old and still so awesome. 🙂

And She’s Back!

Hi!  My globetrotting has come to an end.  I’m a bit sad about it.  I have definitely figured out again, what I already knew,  that I love travelling abroad.  I’m an international chick and just tend to thrive better when I’m overseas.  I must figure out a way to get some funds so  I can do it more often.  I can’t honestly say that I was happy to return to annoying cold weather and no job, but alas it is what it is.

I am soooo behind in my dnb world.  Shame on me.  Since I forgot the powercord to my laptop I couldn’t even update the mixes on my ipod so I don’t even know what’s out there.  I am excited to get back on track though.

Do you guys ever listen to Ros & Reza’s Soul Addiction Bassdrive show?  I’m a new listener and I love it.  Really great chill vibes.  You should check it out.  It’s on every thursday from 9 – 11 am CST.

I should have just gone to London the second I came back from my Christmas holiday.  This week seems a little pointless.  I can’t really do anything productive on the work front as I’m leaving next week so instead I’m back to sitting in my flat waiting to leave.  Hmmm.  Complain much?  LOL.  I’m prolly just crabby cuz it’s cold outside and I don’t have anything to do but be stuck indoors.  I’m trying to bring back my positive outlook for 2010 so I have decided to only be grumpy while I write this post and then snap out of it. 😉
