Woot.  I am so happy about the  good weather we’ve got coming up.  It’s supposed to 68 today and then in the 80s this weekend.  Everything just seems so much more fun when the sun comes out to play.

Speaking of nice weather, you now have no excuse but to trek to Smart Bar and come see your locals play tonight if you live in the Chi.  I’m excited.  It should be fun.  It’s me, Lamebrane, Zew and Phantom 45.  Come out!

I’m mostly picking this as today’s oldie because I can’t find my record.  Boo.  I wanted to play it tonight and of course it’s nowhere to be seen.  I’m sure it’ll turn up when I don’t need it, as usual.  Nice collab.  Love it.

The Shakedown posse are coming full force.  I’m looking forward to the Dave Owen night and am definitely digging the mixes.

So I made my top 25 of 2008. I feel like it’s a bit nonsense to do this because a) I cheated and just did it from May onwards cuz that’s when I started my blog and have detailed documentation of all the tracks I liked and b) I obsess over tracks so much there’s no way I like a track that I heard in May as much as I do one I like today cuz of the whole “playing on repeat constantly” factor. So this dodgy mash up top 25 will just have to do. 😉

I was going to try and pick a favourite for the number one spot but that is just utterly impossible for me. So here they are in no particular order whatsoever. Some I couldn’t track down mp3s for because they haven’t been released yet or whatever so I apologise for the lack of samples.

I guess I’m just getting ready for when I get put in a nursing home.

I like adding “tastic” to the end of words.  There’s not real explanation why.  I just like doing it.

I had a really great holiday.  Nice to see the fam.  The ceremony for my stepdad went really well.  Back at work.  Nothing really exciting to report as I have been lounging around eating copious amounts of food for the last 5 days.

I feel like until it’s full on been 10 degrees everyday for like a month, I will constantly be commenting on the weather.  www.weather.com says it’s 10 degrees but feels like -8.  Boo.

Christmas is next week.  I gotta get my shopping done!
