I have 2 distinct group of friends.  My drum n bass posse and then my non-electronic music peeps which mostly consists of hip hop/rap folks.  It’s nice having 2 different types of events to go to all the time.

Last night I went to a Rude 1 show at Lava.  They are always fun.  People always come out and they have a good vibe.  I don’t really listen to rap/hip hop.  I listen to so much dnb that I don’t really have time to and I definitely don’t listen to mainstream stuff cuz I don’t listen to the radio so I’m usually out of the loop.  I like going to these shows cuz they play all the good ish that I know nothing about.  Good times last night.

Oh man.  This is awesome.  If you never got this mix this would be the perfect time to get it.  I remember being obsessed with it back when it came out.  Awesome tracks.  Just awesome period.  Storm recently did an event to remember Kemistry who passed away 10 years ago.  I guess Dogs On Acid is making the mix available for free download.  Definitely a must have.  Woot.

Woot.  I am so happy about the  good weather we’ve got coming up.  It’s supposed to 68 today and then in the 80s this weekend.  Everything just seems so much more fun when the sun comes out to play.

Back To The Grind

I actually had a really jam packed weekend.

Friday night I just hung out with Joy and we ate food and watched tv.  Nice and chill.

Saturday I was an overachiever.  It was absolutely gorgeous and in the 70s so I think I must have felt motivated.  I did loads and loads of laundry, went running, made a cake,  donated a bunch of old clothes and stuff to the church next door to my house, hung out with Reisha and made a fancy pants lunch and drank margaritas, mixed records for like hours upon hours, hung out with Rocko and then djed with Dan at his night at Old Oak Tap later on in the night.  Told ya I was an overachiever.

Sunday was rainy rainy rainy but I still managed to have a nice time going to breakfast with Amy and Jessica, then cozying up on the couch and watch a ridiculous amount of tv, then around 4ish went for tea and desserts with Melissa and then went to Reggie’s surprise bday party later that night.

All in all you would have thought I was actually an interesting fun person this weekend, instead of my usually boring boring boring old cow self. 😉  Good times.
