Watching Sabrina with Joia.  She loves this show.  I’m taking her to school this morning so we’re embarking on our morning ritual.  I don’t even think I loved the show as much as she loves it when I was younger.  She likes the talking cat.

I had an extremely productive day yesterday.  It felt good.  I will keep this up.

Maybe I just needed a week to be lazy. 😉  I have a new approach to this week and I’m excited about it.  No more slacking.  I don’t think the slothy attitude type is becoming at all.

I have had an awesome weekend.  My Oliver Twist bank account status has made my friends take pity on me and treat me to some really yummy meals.  I got to spend time with Kathy and her bf Matt as well as my friend Jon and just partake in some really fun activities.

The Dj Rap show was fine.  I had a good set but there wasn’t really that many people there.  The important part was the people that mattered were there so that was fine.  I have good buddies and that makes me happy. 🙂

It’s friday.  Woot.  I’m playing Smart Bar with Dj Rap and Cringer tonight so if you’re in the Chi definitely come out.  I’m on from 12 to 130.  I can’t even tell you the last time I saw Dj Rap.  I swear it was in like 2000.

I’m hoping the weekend gets this lazy bitch behaviour out of my system and I act better next week.

Kathy and her bf Matt are still here and my friend Jon is in town too.  I feel like I’ve had friends visiting non stop lately.  I will say that one of the things that is a perk of unemployment is I get to hang out whenever which is cool.

Sorry I didn’t write yesterday.  I was trying to get myself back in gear after my trip.  It was quite busy and went by so fast.

The rave was pure insanity.  It was like it was 1995 yet I was 33 not 19.  I had a blast though.  My set was awesome and it was really great seeing my crew.  I couldn’t believe how many kids were there.  One candy raver ridiculously adorned in about 25 candy necklaces asked me if this was my first rave.  When I replied that I was 33 so no, he responded with “what were raves like back then?”  LOL.  Yes people I am a geriatric. 😉

I had a really good time with all my Minneapolis people too.  Went trick or treating with my friends kiddies and they were adorable.

I have a bunch of mixes to catch up on so I don’t really have any tunes for you just yet.

I was mixing my 2step jams yesterday and I actually started to get excited for my set on saturday.  Mike was sitting playing on the internets while I was mixing and we both agreed that garage is straight up party music.  Who wouldn’t love to hear booming bass and r&b remixes when you go to a party?  It’s definitely not “sitting around the house” music.  I’m going to take loads of pics.  This thing is definitely going to be interesting. 🙂

In more news, Ashland Ave is most certainly the bane of my existence.  They started construction at 7am this morning.  That’s just rude.  Boo.

I’m kinda excited about this week.  Kathy’s visiting from London so I’m hanging out with her tomorrow and then I go to Minneapolis on thursday.  It’s nice to break up the monotony.

Had a pretty nice weekend. Got to hang out with Mike yesterday as he was in town for a hot minute.   Mixed a lot of 2step/Garage.  I know my dnb records like the back of my hand but my 2step records I don’t necessarily mix on a regular basis anymore so I’ve been spending the time re-familiarizing myself with the tracks to get ready for the Steppers Alliance reunion this weekend.  I’ve even found some gems that I didn’t even know I owned.  Woot.
