Had a lovely time at home with my mum and Nima. I think it’s funny that every time I go home my mum has me do some chore. I don’t really complain cuz she lives in that huge house by herself and can’t do everything. The humour is just in the fact that I live a regular adult life when I’m not by my mum and then the second I get home it’s… “Can you help me rake the leaves today?” LOL

My car stereo is broken. This is not ok. I hate the radio. All the radio stations are rubbish. I need to find someone to fix it for me.

Before I post my regular dnb stuff, I just want to give Eyedea a shout out. I lived in Minneapolis for 8 years. I was very much a part of the music scene there. At that time that I was there everyone was friends with everyone and collaborated to throw events and what not. I participated in and frequented many Rhymesayers events. I wasn’t really good friends with him or anything like that but we had many encounters and he was a really lovely person. He was extremely talented and will definitely be missed.

You Get What You Pay For Kiki

I don’t mean that in a bad way at all. It’s actually just an honest observation.

I used to belong to this fancy pants gym. I got a ridiculous discount through my adidas insurance and have been there for the past 3 years because for some reason they never realised that I stopped working at adidas ages ago. I guess membership there is 100 bucks a month and I was only paying 30. They have employees that wipe down the machines for you, they have all the cable channels and your membership card doubles as a lock for your locker. Those three things aren’t the only things that you get with your 100 bucks. I’m just listing a couple. 🙂

My new gym has none of those. You wipe down the machines, there’s not that many channels to watch and you bring your own lock. Then again it’s only 10 bucks a month and my bank account likes that. I think I was just noticing the difference because there are so few things in this world where you pay more and actually receive extra perks for the extra money you pay. Really, for me, as long as I have my ipod and you have some weights and some cardio equipment, I’m good to go. 🙂

I’ve been listening to a lot of really great mixes lately. It makes me crave going to an awesome dnb night. I’m too old to go to raves. I feel really uncomfortable hanging out with 17 year olds… and I should! LOL. They are 17!

I really just miss our dnb nights in bars. All I really want to do is sit in a bar with my friends and listen to some good dnb.

Before people start bombarding me with responses about where there’s all these good nights in the city blah blah, I work. I’m not trying to go see you mix at 3am and I don’t want to always have to go to Smart Bar. I’m talking about the cute nights we use to have all over the city in nice intimate bars. I’m about to be 34 on sunday so I think I’m allowed to be as picky as I want about where I want to go listen to my music. 🙂
