Stunna had an awesome set yesterday at Crocodile.  I love that we have a place to go listen to our music again.

My cousin Nima is coming again tomorrow.  Yay.  Margie and co wanna have a dance party weekend and I’m always down and I’m sure Nima will be down to.

I start my second job on monday so I’m def. looking to have a bit of a rowdy weekend before I have no time to do anything, ever… yes I love to exaggerate.

I’m still not on top everything like I need to be.  Maybe I’ll stop being so hard on myself and give myself a break for the weekend and kick my ass in gear starting monday. 😉

Sorry for the lack of posts.  I’m spent.  I’m burnt out and overly distracted.  When I get like that I just shut down and don’t want to do anything.  Too much stuff going on this week, so I took a break.  A much needed one at that.  Mental health is always more important than money people. 🙂

I now seem to have developed end of summer allergies too.  Lame.  I don’t what it is I’m allergic to but this week has been pretty miserable on the sneezing, stuffy nose and itchy eyes front. 😦

Friday huh?  Everything is a blur to me.   I would say I’m happy the weekend is here but really it makes no difference cuz I’m working all weekend.  I am going to a pig roast tomorrow though which I think will be fun. 🙂

Even though Juju tried to hate on me, I didn’t forget you.  (<3 you Juju)  I have been in World Cup mania at work.  It’s actually kind of fun but at the same time everything is a blur.  I am so excited to have today off.  I don’t get to relax or anything.  I’m basically using this day to do all the things that I haven’t gotten to do in the past week.  Did you see that Italy match yesterday?  Awesome.  Buh bye Italy!  I’m so excited to get into some more good football watching.  This weekend’s games are going to be wicked too.  Meh I sound like a nerd.  Lets move on to some dnb.

My buddy Stunna is having a show this weekend.  You can see me, Grand Marquee, Alfonz De La Mota, Midway and Place 42 play at an all dnb gig this saturday June 26.  Yes I repeat Chicago another all dnb gig.  I know these are so few and far between that we’ve forgotten what they are but I’m so excited to hang out with my friends, play some music and listen to some dnb.  I miss that so much.  If you’re in Chi please come and hang out with us.  It’s going to be lovely. 🙂

I’ve been listening to some awesome mixes at the gym and on my walks to work.  Thank god for Bassdrive.  I don’t have as much time to search for new mixes so I just download an archive and I’m good to go.  Lots of good tunes out as usual.  I’ve been hearing some pretty wicked darker/rowdier ones that I’ve been digging…  Yes you heard correctly,  Liquid Funk Kiki is digging more and more rowdy tunes. *shrugs*  What can I say, I’m not laying around my flat pondering my life as much anymore so a rowdy tune here and there while on the go definitely gets me excited.  😉

I hope I get a chance to write again soon but I can’t guarantee it.  I have a long stretch coming up with no days off again for a minute.  We’ll see.

Dang it was hot yesterday.  Love it!  The midwest is so funny in that aspect.  It was 50 last week and now all of a sudden its 90.  I spent my sunday in the park with Jessica and Joia.  Good times.

Lost series finale was yesterday.  I wasn’t as pissed as everyone else seemed to be.  I liked it.  I’m a sucker for happy endings.  I don’t really care about the unanswered questions.  My life will continue just fine. 😉

I also worked my first Smallbar big football game shift this weekend.  It was the Champions League final and it was insane.  Crazy busy, a lot of drinking.  I remember I looked at the clock and it was 1230 and then when I looked again it was 445.  I didn’t even know who won.  LOL.  (Inter Milan did if you didn’t already know)  World Cup there is definitely going to be interesting.  🙂

I used to really love McDonald’s annual patty’s shamrock shakes but last year I had a really gross one and it ruined it for me.

I had a pretty good weekend.  Everything I did turned out to be really fun and you know that doesn’t happen often so I was pleased.

Unemployment has turned me into a new version of myself.  I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing but it definitely is interesting.  I think that not having specific things to tend to all day makes a person get creative when it comes to deciding what to do to make time pass.  I attribute my 2.0 version mostly to that. 🙂

I’m making an executive decision and doing my end of year top tracks today.  I’m going to Philly today and then I’m not taking my laptop with me to NY tomorrow so that really leaves me no time to write.

Here is my repeat of end of year disclaimers…

My list is always going to be kinda bogus.  LOL.  The tunes I blogged about towards the end of the year are still fresh in my mind and therefore get more attention than the ones I blogged about back in the beginning of the year cuz I’m not sick of hearing them yet.  The list is in no particular order.  I have been told that I have strange taste in some dnb track so my list means absolutely nothing.  It’s just a compilation of songs that I personally liked over 2009.  We also must take into account that the latter half of the year I wasn’t as diligent about writing tracks down due to the loss of my job so I’m not as up on new tunes as I used to be.  This list is just of tracks that I would have been happy to keep on my ipod for the past 365 days.
