Christmas Stress Kiki

Christmas in London.  I think I was about 9.  Christmas cracker party hats and all. ❤

Sorry for the neglect.  It’s only wednesday and already my week has been uber hectic and majorly stressful.  😦

I’m trying to get all the prezzies for my nieces and nephew sorted.  I haven’t even sent out my Christmas cards yet.  I found out yesterday there was an issue with the computers and it was saying that my student loans weren’t processed so I had to trek up to my school and stand in line and sort that out.  My new job is still passing inspections and hasn’t opened yet so I’m still living on a tight budget, which doesn’t bode well for me since I’m going home for Christmas and will miss a day of Small Bar money since they are not open Christmas Eve.  *sigh*  Too much stuff.  I’ll shut up now.

I’ve been thinking about my year end list of tunes the past couple of days and as far as that is concerned it’ll be the same as last year.  I don’t think my blog will ever be like it was the first year that I did it because I am not in an office where I can sit and write everyday and listen to tunes non-stop.  That being said my year end list from now on will only be songs that I heard and liked.  Since I am not able to keep up with the hottest tunes or what came out when anymore, the list will be purely what tickled my fancy, be it old as hell or just released yesterday.  I’m pretty sure that disclaimer was unnecessary because those of you that read my blog know that my ramblings are just that, ramblings.  They have nothing to do with what actually goes on in the industry.  LOL.  I”m just an old lady that likes to blab about dnb. 😉

Sigh, the plight of a libra.  I’m always struggling to find balance.  I seem to live my life from one extreme to another.  There’s no in between.  I’ve gone from having nothing to do to doing everything.  I really will be looking forward to the weekend once it rolls around because I’m pretty much just running around non-stop.  I’m not complaining because I do appreciate that at least I’m working when others aren’t but exhaustion is not a good look.  I’m definitely a person that needs to have moments where I collect my thoughts and meditate and reflect etc.  Hopefully I sort it out and find the balance I need. 🙂

Training was no joke today.  I ate for 3 hours straight.  They just kept bringing the food out cuz we obviously need to taste the menu and I continuously shoved all of it in my mouth.  I could have just taken bites but I guess I was in greedy girl mode.  The food is really good.  I’m kind of excited about this new place.

I started training today at my new job.  Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington were not there but to my surprise my friend Gianna was which was awesome cuz that meant I at least had someone to hang out with.

Stunna had an awesome set yesterday at Crocodile.  I love that we have a place to go listen to our music again.

My cousin Nima is coming again tomorrow.  Yay.  Margie and co wanna have a dance party weekend and I’m always down and I’m sure Nima will be down to.

I start my second job on monday so I’m def. looking to have a bit of a rowdy weekend before I have no time to do anything, ever… yes I love to exaggerate.

I’m still not on top everything like I need to be.  Maybe I’ll stop being so hard on myself and give myself a break for the weekend and kick my ass in gear starting monday. 😉

It’s actually pretty cold outside and there’s snow.  Dang, I guess we couldn’t avoid winter for too much longer huh? 😉

Sorry I’ve been m.i.a. lately.  I’ve got a lot of stuff I’m trying to get done and I think I’m doing a terrible job at handling it all.  I had a dream last night where I kept losing things.  It was quite bothersome and so I decided to look it up and see what “they” say it means.  In a nutshell they all said the same thing…  I’m overwhelmed with too many things and need to chill the fuck out.  I’m working on it.

That’s my speciality.  I make a mean green bean casserole.  I have my own recipe but the main ingredients are still there.  I just add a few odds and ends to yum it up. 🙂

It’s been great being home.  My sister is here who I never get to see which is awesome.  Our house is chockablock full of peeps and that’s how I like it.

My brother is letting me take his car to Madison.  They don’t want to leave it sitting at their house all week as they too have gone away.  Not only did he give me gas money but he also has an I-Pass.  Talk about win. 🙂

Usually it’s just me and my mum for Thanksgiving but this time we have 9 other people joining us.  I come from a big family so I’m always down for big family style dos.

I plan on kickin it hard this week.  Not because I’ve been doing anything overly strenuous but merely because I feel like it.  Staycations are kinda where it’s at for me these days. 😉
