Shit.  Unemployment is finally getting to me.  I need to get out of my house.  Lame.  Even writing about it gets me annoyed so this rant will have to end here.

I can’t stop listening to that Giant – Drumstick VIP track. Such a party wobble track.  ❤   I know I’m late on it but you know I don’t really keep up with dubstep as much as I do dnb.  That Emalkay mix is still on repeat in my car.  Loves it.  Did you know that Enei is part of Giant?  I didn’t.

I’ve been listening to everything.  Dnb, dubstep, pop, rap, whatever switches up the tempo to my boring day.  I’m currently listening to Cheryl Cole as i type this.  Yes I’m aware that i should prolly keep that piece of info to myself but I’ll never deny my love for pop music.  NEVAAAHHH. Mwahahaha.  I still even have my Bros album on vinyl.  Gimme me a break, I grew up in London, I will listen to pop music for the rest of my life.  Girls Aloud what what! 😉

Maybe I just needed a week to be lazy. 😉  I have a new approach to this week and I’m excited about it.  No more slacking.  I don’t think the slothy attitude type is becoming at all.

I have had an awesome weekend.  My Oliver Twist bank account status has made my friends take pity on me and treat me to some really yummy meals.  I got to spend time with Kathy and her bf Matt as well as my friend Jon and just partake in some really fun activities.

The Dj Rap show was fine.  I had a good set but there wasn’t really that many people there.  The important part was the people that mattered were there so that was fine.  I have good buddies and that makes me happy. 🙂

It’s friday.  Woot.  I’m playing Smart Bar with Dj Rap and Cringer tonight so if you’re in the Chi definitely come out.  I’m on from 12 to 130.  I can’t even tell you the last time I saw Dj Rap.  I swear it was in like 2000.

I’m hoping the weekend gets this lazy bitch behaviour out of my system and I act better next week.

Kathy and her bf Matt are still here and my friend Jon is in town too.  I feel like I’ve had friends visiting non stop lately.  I will say that one of the things that is a perk of unemployment is I get to hang out whenever which is cool.

I was mixing my 2step jams yesterday and I actually started to get excited for my set on saturday.  Mike was sitting playing on the internets while I was mixing and we both agreed that garage is straight up party music.  Who wouldn’t love to hear booming bass and r&b remixes when you go to a party?  It’s definitely not “sitting around the house” music.  I’m going to take loads of pics.  This thing is definitely going to be interesting. 🙂

In more news, Ashland Ave is most certainly the bane of my existence.  They started construction at 7am this morning.  That’s just rude.  Boo.

I think I’ve told you before that I heart Kylie.  Locomotion wasn’t necessarily one of my fave track of hers but it serves the purpose for today’s entry title. 😉  Pop music ftw!

Unemployment has helped me hone my chef skills.  Not only do I eat yummy dinners on a regular basis but i also bake desserts up the wazoo.  I’m sure I’d make someone a good wife someday.

I made dinner with Jessica yesterday and we both commented on how happy we are that we are not college students anymore.  I’m sure there are college students who eat well and make fancy dinners but I was definitely not one of them.  I remember eating a lot of candy, which is kinda odd cuz I really don’t eat it that much anymore.  When I say a lot I mean a daily visit to the corner shop to by not one but at least 3 different kinds, Twix, Almond Joy, Kit Kat etc and that would suffice as some sort of meal.  I also ate a lot of Pasta Roni and Wendy’s.  I’m not knocking any of those items.  I’m just saying that after spending the time and the money to eat awesome food I am ok with not visiting that chapter of my life again. 😉

I retract yesterday’s statement about hibernation.  It’s lovely outside today!  The high is supposed to be 63…  you know you’re a midwesterner when you rave about how nice the weather is even if the numbers are just in the 60s.

I’m back on a Dan Marshall kick.  I never stopped really being on it, it’s just that now that I’m unemployed I tend to forget to listen to him and Jamo’s show but when I was working I remembered to tune in all day everyday because they came on after Spinn.  I work out to their archives constantly.  Love the show.  Big up Bassdrive.

I have a couple of tunes that I’m coveting.  Unfortunately I don’t know the names and I can’t ask anyone cuz I’m on some straight up “it kinda has that one kick and then goes dun dunn dun tsch” bizness right now.  LOL.  So I’ve decided that I will just hopefully discover the names of these tracks at some point and leave it at that. 🙂
