Shit. Unemployment is finally getting to me. I need to get out of my house. Lame. Even writing about it gets me annoyed so this rant will have to end here.

I can’t stop listening to that Giant – Drumstick VIP track. Such a party wobble track. ❤ I know I’m late on it but you know I don’t really keep up with dubstep as much as I do dnb. That Emalkay mix is still on repeat in my car. Loves it. Did you know that Enei is part of Giant? I didn’t.

I’ve been listening to everything. Dnb, dubstep, pop, rap, whatever switches up the tempo to my boring day. I’m currently listening to Cheryl Cole as i type this. Yes I’m aware that i should prolly keep that piece of info to myself but I’ll never deny my love for pop music. NEVAAAHHH. Mwahahaha. I still even have my Bros album on vinyl. Gimme me a break, I grew up in London, I will listen to pop music for the rest of my life. Girls Aloud what what! 😉

Yay, summer has returned. It’s absolutely gorgeous outside. I already went for a nice bike ride.

Last night was really good. I feel like I was fortunate enough to spend the whole of wednesday listening to really awesome dnb. Will and Stunna on Bassdrive was a really great show and then at Lava everyone just had really good sets. It’s days like those that I know why I love dnb so much.

Wedding Kiki

Friday has showed up yet again… why does she keep doing that? Is this how unemployment is the whole time you’re on it? The days just blurr together? Seems like it to me. 🙂

Matt Martin’s wedding is tomorrow. There is definite fun to be had. It’s amazing that as many weddings as I go to as I get older I still have no desire to get married. I just don’t see it happening. I’m never like “oh I want that.” My aversion must be uber strong with the amount of weddings I’ve been to in the past 2 years and still haven’t changed my mind. LOL. Diamonds are nice though. 😉

Early A.M. Kiki

It’s really early. I’ve been an early riser for as long as I can remember but still it never stops being strange that I’m awake kicking it when everyone else is completely passed out. My gym is open 24 hours so I think I’m gonna head over there once I finish this post.

I don’t really have anything exciting to talk about this week. It’s a pretty slow week. I’m definitely feeling the unemployment factor right now because I’ve been working with my friend for the past couple of weeks so my idle time has been pretty much non-existent. This week he’s out of town though and I’ve had to keep myself busy. There are activities to do but they are activities of my own creation, so that makes the “I really have nothing to do factor” quite high.

I had a pretty fun weekend. I love it when there’s loads of activities to do.

Got my hip hop/rap fix and saw Dj Revolution on saturday. He is awesome.

In “No One Cares What You Think Kiki” news, I just want to say that I do not like SpectraSoul’s Organizer. It’s no secret that I’m actually a big Spectrasoul fan, it’s just that I’m just sick of hearing that track on every mix and I don’t think it’s dope at all.

Whistle While I Work

Not that old but still awesome. I woke up with this really somber feeling and this track popped into my head. I just love Diane Charlemagne’s voice. As cheesy as it sounds, her vocals really encompass the soul of the track. The bassline is just so simple yet moving. I’m no music journalist so I’m sure I should have come up with some better ways to describe this track but whatever.

So I made my top 25 of 2008. I feel like it’s a bit nonsense to do this because a) I cheated and just did it from May onwards cuz that’s when I started my blog and have detailed documentation of all the tracks I liked and b) I obsess over tracks so much there’s no way I like a track that I heard in May as much as I do one I like today cuz of the whole “playing on repeat constantly” factor. Meh, Bleh, Bah, you get my drift. It’s cold. It’s hard to get motivated. There’s only a 3 day work week next week. I’m trying to be good but procrastination is getting the better of me dammit! 😉 This week is pretty quiet compared to last week.

I can’t stop listening to Tyler Straub. I feel like I should talk about him way way way more than I do cuz he’s uber talented. I’ve been listening to Easy Does It, Walk The Line, Drawn Faces, Waiting For You, Baixo Capoeira, etc. all morning cuz it’s the total soundtrack to the mood I’m in. Good stuff. Become a fan. I am. You can hear the majority of those tracks on his myspace. 🙂

Dear Kiki…

Before I had this blog I had a livejournal account. I actually still have it. I just don’t really write in it. I’ve had it for 7 years. The reason I stopped writing in it was because I found that I wrote way too much detail in it. Yikes. I mean if you want to know what was going on with me for the past 7 years just read that shit. LOL. It was definitely more of a Dear Diary… style than this blog. I actually quite fond of this blog that I have now. I talk a lot and need to get my thoughts out some way or another so I like that I babble about myself for a paragraph or so and then talk about drum n bass. Before I was just talking about myself for pages and pages and trust me, as crazy as I am no one really cares that much about my life and a paragraph of details is just enough. 🙂

Had a nice weekend. Juju’s bbq was fun. Rocko & Ron’s party was cool. Pretty chill weekend.
